About Jasie The Author

Jasilynn J. Rogers was born and raised in Portland Oregon. As a child she loved to write in journals. Go to public libraries and or book stores to get books. She would read a book in a day or so.

Her favorite subject in high school was always English. She excelled in writing and took a liking to story telling in conversation.

When she was 20 years old Jasilynn Rogers, was sent to Jail. At 21 she was convicted of Robbery in the first degree. The conviction was her first arrest. She would spend the next 90 months of her life in prison. While incarcerated, Jasilynn developed a liking to urban fiction. She was amazed at how entertaining the books she read were. There were not many urban fiction books from her home town.

In 2014 Jasilynn decided to write her first novel “Dead Roses” . The book would be historical fiction telling a fictional story based on Portland Oregon.

After writing the first manuscript .Jasilynn decided to write an entire series “The City Of Roses”. She included four books total in the series completing the manuscripts while in prison. Jasilynn then wrote two books in a spin off series “Gold Diggin Divas”. In total she wrote six manuscripts before her release in 2019.

In 2021 two years after her release from prison Jasilynn J Rogers launched her first novel “Dead Roses”. Taking on the writing handle Jasietheauthor. She is inspired tell her story and the journey she went thru to become a self proclaimed book author.
